We’ve been advised that the Celtic Roots festival on Sept 14th at Catton Hall, South Derbyshire has been cancelled. According to the festival website this is due to the continuous bad weather conditions of the past few weeks and the prospect of further heavy rainfall leading up to the show date. WATERBOYS PLAY SHOW WITH NEIL YOUNG IN HOLLAND The Waterboys have been invited to join Neil Young’s bill at BosPop in the Netherlands on Friday 11th July. Yeah well I tried to put this in a comment box after hearing that the Waterboys had been rained off due this continuous wet weather we are having. its a struggle trying to stay upbeat with all this dampness about. The mice have decided to come into my house for refuge as well. I am not happy! My satelite keeps losing reception and I think my roof is leaking.
The Pickering Festival, at which The Waterboys were due to play tomorrow has been cancelled due to bad weather. The Health and Safety Office have closed it. Sorry to disappoint anyone who'd planned to go.

WATERBOYS WILL NOT NOW PLAY AT ELECTRIC PICNIC The Waterboys are sorry to announce they will no longer be playing the Electric Picnic festival in Ireland on Friday 29 August due to contractual problems. The band agreed a deal in good faith with POD, the festival promoters.
