They have a little bit of a post rock / My Bloody Valentine sound (live it is more apparent) and a pretty unique style to boot, which can be quite difficult with the aforementioned influences considered.
This song is from their debut album 'Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters', which will be pretty hard to come across unless you know some really good independent stores. Enjoy.
Can't get enough of this wonderful band. I can tell Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters is the best album of 2007 so far. The perfect combination of folk, shoegaze and post-rock. Hailing from Glasgow, The Twilight Sad is a band that I'm yet to have heard a ton about, but I came across this song that is pretty good. The lead singer's voice reminds me of traditional Irish Folk singers and the musical accompanyment is tremendous. Hopefully they gained some positive exposure at SXSW this year and we'll start hearing more and more from them... anyway, enjoy!
