All Music GuideThe Spinners began to slide again with this release, following two consecutive big albums. The problem was that they had established an identity that had crossover and pop types thinking they were just a cover band. When they returned to the ebullient soul allads and uptempo tunes that had been their forte since the 1960s, the trendy types moved on to the next fashionable thing. Meanwhile, the R&B landscape was shifting, and they were caught in the move. They also went to the medley well one more time with "Yesterday Once More/Nothing Remains The Same."
