It was recorded in New Orleans in 1961 and released on the Minit label. I'm not sure it really is the best ever, but it's undeniably a wonderful tune. Lead singer Norman "General" Johnson went on to front Chairmen of the Board in the 1970s, so his place in the list of greats is assured
