Australian punk rock combo, The Saints, will be touring North America in support of their recently release Imperious Delirium (Cadiz/Wildflower). Founded in 1974, The Saints have released, thirteen studio albums. Irish singer/ songwriter, Bob Geldof, has been quoted as saying "Rock music in the Seventies was changed by three bands — the Sex Pistols, the Ramones and The Saints." They may be Aussies (nobody's perfect!) but their seminal mid 70's track "I'm Stranded" arguably kicked off the anti-phenom known as Punk earlier than both the Damned and the Sex Pistols. Ironically, they expanded their horizons on their 2nd album "Eternally Yours"- Ed Kuepper being a huge influence here - by including a brass section and simultaneously losing Punk "cred" and alienating critics alike - but a classic!
