The Rolling Stones' Keith Richards took part in a March Saturday in which about 15,000 people protested possible cuts in service at a hospital near his country home.
Out in the street.
Richards issued a statement in which he said that St. Richard's Hospital — in the town of Chichester, south of London — is a "vital local amenity" for residents, visitors and vacationers.

My town, Austin, just went through Stonesmania. The Stones played last Sunday night, and the previous week was filled with all kinds of Stones related publicity. This ran from the local paper and televison station covering the show, to Austin's rock station playing every Stones record in its entirety, chronologically, which was actually pretty cool, at least until "Tattoo You".
