one of the earliest bands to carry the moniker "emo" before it meant black eyeliner, hot topic, and pithy suicide poetry. they're back from when emo was simply slightly more emotional than rock but leaned more toward the indie rock side than hard rock. plus, they reference husker du in a positive light. how can you not appreciate that?
So I have this friend who is France for a while. I have decided to send him cd's while he is away, because the cost of music in Europe is a bit much. In addition to copies of my most recently purchased music, I send him a mix cd with a theme. Last months mix cd was, Chicks Man. On that cd, all the songs had to have the name of a girl in the title.
