I know I'm a bit late with this article, but I just wanted to post it up as I found the whole thing rather strange. It basically means that The Pipetts now have none of the original girl members, most peculiar.
The U.S. release of The Pipette's album We Are The Pipettes was delayed for nearly two months before it actually seen the light of day, now the same thing seemed to have happened with their tour. The Pipette's North American tour was scheduled to kick off tomorrow in Chi-town, but due to "a delay in visa paperwork", things will take a little longer to happen. The good news is, the tour won't be...
They are perhaps the band with the biggest buzz around them. The Pipettes combine Phil Spector doo-wop with a modern twist and are bringing their sound to the US and Canada for a month-long tour. The jaunt kicks off on October 2nd at Chicago's Park West venue and will promote the North American release of the trio's debut We Are The Pipettes. The UK-based girl group includes RiotBecki (Rebecca ...
After being delayed, the much awaited U.S. release of We Are the Pipettes will finally see the light of day on October 2nd. The new edition will come with two U.S. only tracks, "Dance a Boogie" and "Baby, Just Be Yourself". The girls will spend the entire month of October in America touring, before jetting off to the other side of the world. Take a look at the datesTour Dates For The Pipettes...
my fictional valentines day card (how high school, of me) would go to this lovely lady. god knows her name but shes pretty much perfect looking and has the loveliest voice iv possibly ever heard.add yours if you feel like it.
My dreams are slowly coming alive... The Pipettes have announced a few American tour dates this spring. They're playing in Canada March 10, then in NY the 13th, and then hitting up SXSW, followed by a date in Mexico. Surely to GOD they'll book some more dates around there and play somewhere in the southeast so that I can go see them. I'll drive just about anywhere within 500 miles to see them. ...
OK, I need a minor reality check here. I really, really like this album but I can’t quite put it into a context. Are they for real or are they some sort of calculated creation by a Simon Cowell wannabe? Is the ’60 girl group thing an homage, a post-modern ironic wink of the eye or something else.I’m not looking for validation of my taste. They’re fitting in nicely with Neil Young & Crazy
Pull Shapes..The Pipettes are a girl group based in Brighton, England. Their sound has been compared to the classic 1960s girl groups such as The Shangri-Las and The Ronettes. The promoter, performer and guitarist Monster Bobby formed the group in mid-2003 with the intention of reviving the traditional Phil Spector pop sound and giving it a modern twist, or did he?.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
First of all, all credit for the witty tile of this post goes to Anna...i am not nearly that quick. And next is my Freudian dilemma....I am so smitten with The Pipettes...why? They are in a band and they have British accents...like I ever had a chance. But I am having a hard time enjoying this song as much as I should...see, my mother's name is Judy....so as much as I love these girls and their...
Jox...why haven't I heard about this British band from you?? I had to find out about them on my Sirius...I feel so used!I am really digging these girls...and this is one of the best videos I have seen in so long.

Well it finally came out. I loved The Pipettes first EP that was on iTunes. Lots of fun. I have reservations about this album. It's not bad but it didn't deliver like I thought it would. The Pipettes are sort of a 60's girl group revival band. Much like The Delmonas were only not as awesome. The album is very well produced. The songs aren't bad. There's something missing for me though....
