I turn 45 today. Between birthday celebrations and the 4th of July, this is a great week! I dedicate The Pierces song to everyone celebrating something this week. Paint the town any color you want :-P

I remember the first time I watched this video/heard this song I thought "this is more than ridiculous!!" And it actually is, I guess is kind of what they meant..., But lately I've been a bit more apathetic than usual, and today while I was trying to figure out whether or not I wanted to go out tonight-something I've been doing for the past few months...-, and was thinking how stupid I was for doing so, this song just came to my mind. and it kinda amazed me, "Oh my god... The Pierces are the sort of band your mother warned you about. Hailing from Alabama, the Pierce sisters sport sweet smiles and cute accents which will capture your heart as soon as you meet them. It only took one post-gig meeting in November (where they were supporting Albert Hammond jr.) for me to fall head-over heels in love with them and I’ve been waiting for their newest release Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge ever since. I think MOG is such a brilliant idea. Whenever I get a chance to actually sit down and REALLY listen to the music I have play on my itunes, I mean like really hear and feel the lyrics... I, more times than others, feel inspired to write about it... especially if I can relate or just feel moved or something. And what a PERFECT place to do so all the while by spreading your musical taste to others and discover something new to listen to yourself... I dig it. That's for sure.... MORE
