I have been listening to this cd quite a bit, and these German indie rockers know whats up. I've been hitting up some of their older stuff and it's just awesome. I have not a clue what they are up to and if they are up for another album. These guys are becoming a favorite of mine.
If anyone ask me that question, i will say file-sharing is fucking great! Finally, i got this song. Bravo! You're the colour, you're the movement and the spin. (Never)Could it stay with me the whole day long? Fail with consequence, lose with eloquence and smile. I'm not in this movie I'm not in this song. Never Leave me paralyzed, love. Leave me hypnotized, love. You're the colour, you're the movement and the spin. (Never)Could it stay with me the whole day long? Fail ... MORE
A friend make me a couple of mixed CDs recently, and there were a couple of curious and fascinating tracks that essentially blew me away...I called her to ask where I can find them, and she said that according to a friend of hers, Neon Golden was (and is I suppose) their very best work...so I bought a used copy through Amazon, and I cannot recommend enough that anyone reading this do the same.
A simple and beautiful song about alienation. You'll no longer be kissed and kind,as you long for intuition,as you have to learn the lesson twice. You'll no longer be kissed and kind,as you long for intuition,as you have to say the password twice. Have you ever, have you ever, been all messed up?Have you ever? You're the pin card, you're the lifeguard, you're the information guy,but things look much biggeron your knees, on your knees. Miss the signal, miss the signpo... MORE
The Notwist are another under appreciated German Indie group. It's very hard to categorize them since they have a tendancy to span genres. The Notwist recently formed a supergroup with Themselves named 13 & God, whose eponymous debut was released in 2005. Markus Acher, in addition to his work with The Notwist and 13 & God, also works with the band Lali Puna, while Martin Messerschmidt now also plays drums for the recently reformed Schweisser. This is Part 1. Part 2 is ... MORE
I do this a lot: if a band name sounds like something I wouldn't like, I probably won't listen to it. At least for awhile. While sometimes I'm right to judge a band by its name (examples: panic! at the disco - ucky - hoobastank - ha - she wants revenge - these guys bother me. the lead singer doesn't even play an instrument, they SUCKED at the depeche mode concert this summer, and they are - to my mind - trying to be interpol only SUCKIFIED - and some other ones, as we... greetings, fellow moggers.
according to my mog-o-meter, I am smoking. and you know what they say; when there's smoke, there is the inherent need to listen to electronic german music.
also, there is the need to study for french tests. I leave you with the humor of Demetri Martin:
"I bought a cactus. A week later, it died. And I got depressed, because I thought 'Damn. I am less nurturing than a desert.'"
