There had been several Moments anthologies prior to Love on a Two-Way Street, this extensive and thoughtfully packaged two-disc set from Castle, but none of them compiled this much substantial material from the group's career. Though it goes beyond what most would consider the group's essential moments -- including some previously unissued material -- it's still an excellent place to go for those who only know the biggies, such as "If I Didn't Care," "Look at Me (I'm in Love)," "Girls," "Sexy Mama" (all nine minutes here!), and the title track. Newcomers won't care about the previously unissued songs, but there's still more than enough here to make it an excellent introduction to one of the finest smooth soul groups.
