Thanks to Michael Goldberg for noting here the day of D Boon's passing. The Minutemen were one of my first obsessions, and early on distanced themselves from the rest of the LA punk scene by pushing the envelope lyrically and especially musically. Double Nickles on the Dime is an essential album. I have no doubt that if D Boon were alive today he would still be making vital and challenging music. Choosing a song is hard, but I like this one, it has a spoken word quality ... MORE
