Today was lovely for a Monday. The Seattle sun was bright and lively, I could smell my jasmine that was just starting to bloom, and I had earlier sent out my second auditory anthrax via the post office. Ahhhhh, life is GOOD! Labor Day weekend in Seattle means Bumbershoot, our three day music festival. We were blessed by the best weather possible and lots of great music. Although all the acts didn't thrill me: _Fergie? Remember my post a couple of weeks about the lovely show where Librarianguish and I met and happened to catch The Lashes singing their hearts out? And my new favorite rocker, Eric, being such a sweetie and posing for pictures? Well, on May 5th, Eric fell down an embankment and broke his back. He had an 8 hour surgery and is still in a Seattle hospital. Oh, and without medical insurance. So tomorrow is a benefit show at a Seattle art gallery with full bar! I... MORE

for any of you that may be a lashes fan, and
haven't heard the news...our friend eric, was badly injured in a fall during a cinco de mayo party. he had a long (hopefully) successful surgery, and is still currently in harborview hospital......without medical
insurance.

Wow. I have been completely slacking about getting around to writing up the most excellent and fun time had LAST Friday (4/27) when Amber and I met up for the Lashes show in Seattle. You may have already read her account of the evening (she was much quicker at getting it posted, and from Disneyland no less!). Friday night should have been for packing for my vacation (I had the be at the airport at 3:30am Saturday), but instead Friday night was for new friends and rock and roll.I hadn't hit the Comet Tavern before but loved it. Just the right combo of dive and gnarliness with a rottie padding around thrown in for the awwwww factor. The drinks were cheap and strong (ugg) and the company fabulous. Do you know what I hate? People who have issues. I mean, we all have issues. I have issues, you have issues. But I really really hate people who let their issues become my issues. And today, every one of my employees had a issue that became mine.
