while watching jazon lezak & the u.s. men's swim team come from more than a body length back to capture the 400m freestyle relay last night, we noticed a new nike ad featuring footage of athletes olympic and otherwise set to the killers' "all these things that i've done," and, well, we like that song.

I've put off writing about this one - I don't really listen to this kind of music much, whatever "this kind of music" is (I think it has something to do with the image it puts in my head of wearing uniforms and marching in place, and honestly, what's that supposed to mean? The other night The Killers played a set at the newly unveiled theater configuration of the Frank Erwin Center. The show was put on by local promoter Charles Attal Presents. Their debut album - Hot Fuss - is a must listen for anyone who wants to confirm that rock is alive and kicking in the US. Their eagerly awaited second album is due in October.
