Most people seemed to shrug of Day & Age. While most people would agree it is probably the Killers weakest album so far, it still has plenty of great shiny moments. When I saw that they were on the Twilight Soundtrack, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I sure didn’t expect the quality tune that is [...]
Check out the official trailer for The Killers' upcoming concert DVD/CD that was recorded at London's famed Royal Albert Hall earlier this year. "Live From The Royal Albert Hall" (view album artwork) will feature live cuts from all of their...
The Killers will release their first live DVD on November 10th 2009. Filmed at London’s Royal Albert Hall during two very special shows in July, the film highlights how, in five short years, the Las Vegas four-piece has become one of the biggest and most exciting live bands in ...
Paul Normansell created the art for Live From The Royal Albert Hall. He also created the cover art for Day & Age and the album's coinciding singles - remember all four band members done up mosaic style? Check those out on Paul's site here. The DVD release will also include a live CD (a first for the band). The Royal Albert Hall set list:HumanThis Is Your Life Somebody Told MeFor Reasons Unk

Thanks to a delayed set by Jane's Addiction I only wander onto The Killers as they joylessly parp out The World That We Live In, the band a previously seeming a solid lynchpin for a headline Saturday set. However, though they were likely to later wheel out all the hits there was something unmistakably lacklustre about the American camp indie kings as they started out on the Main Stage.Perhaps if...
On Day & Age, The Killers reveal that their previous two albums, 2004's Hot Fuss and 2006's Sam's Town were mere warm ups for the real stuff. Fans shouldn't seek the pseudo deepness that made their sophomore album Sam's Town such a bore, although " A Dustland Fairytale " heads in that direction. The Killers continue to take chances on Day & Age.
Confusion: I guess that's where we disagree. Because I think we do (need intense genre-stretching to keep music interesting). I don't think music is interesting when everyone is working within the same boundaries. It gets interesting when someone decides to step out of those boundaries. I mean I love all kinds of music down to the simplistic blues of Robert Johnson in the 30s. But if someo...
Apparently, Brandon Flowers got all (or most, anyway) of the Springsteen out of his system on his band's last album Sam's Town and is back to focusing on synth-driven power-pop with an 80s vibe. Day & Age, The Killers recently released third album, shows the group at their most glamorous and shimmering, an over-the-top explosion of sound and hooks that seeks to capture the energy of their d...
MySpace had a busy week with Kanye and GN'R listening parties, but there's one more high-profile release to preview before Black Friday comes. Check out the Killers' third album here , then come back and participate in our premature evaluation . (Said one commenter , "This album sounds like a really long, really crappy European ringtone.")
All by bands I love{d}, needless to say. If I didn't care, well, I wouldn't be disappointed now, would I. Again, no offense is meant towards the people who enjoyed one of these 3 albums.4. Bloc Party - IntimacyI almost forgot to put this in my list. Just goes to show how I feel about it. Bloc Party went down a new road for which I do not care at all. It doesn't suit them, and they're not good a...
But I don't like the new Killers song at all.First of all, I find the lyrics to be ridiculously childish, at best.Close your eyes, clear your heartCut the cordAre we human or are we denser (some hear "dancer" but that only makes it worse in my head)? My sign is vital, my hands are coldAnd I'm on my knees looking for the answerAre we human or are we denser?I actually laughed the first time I heard t
The Killers are hitting the road behind their new album Day & Age, out November 25th. After seeing them this past weekend at NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom I'd recommend getting a ticket to anyone, despite the venue's shitty sound. You'll hear the hits from the bands previous two albums 2004's Hot Fuss and 2006's Sam's Town, plus some new ones like Day & Age's "Human" single (which keeps growing on...
