I first heard this track when I was watching 120 Minutes back in the early 90s. Remember when MTV was cool? Now its CRAP!! Even the MTV Movie Awards suck. Its too bad. Anyways, this entire album by the Scottish alt-rock band is so energizing. I've listened to it a few times this summer when I was sitting in the sun having some nice cold beverages. This gets my Turn it UP! rating.
So, The Jesus and Mary Chain made their return, and will soon be out East for their only performances, two nights back-to-back at Webster Hall in NYC.
I have extra tix for Monday, if'n you weren't able to get them. That is all.
The first 5 The Jesus and Mary Chain albums are reissued and came out this month on Rhino. The best part? They are all DVDs as well. Okay sure most JAMC music videos are the same (strobe light, christmas lights in soft focus, strobe light some more), but I much prefer having them remastered and all purty vs. the crap VHS tape I have. So hop to it kids.Oh I love you Rhino, always have always will.

I will never forget the first time I heard The Jesus And Mary Chain.I was 15, on a school holiday on the canals of England. Drunk for the first time in my life. My friend AJ needs some happy music, and to me, there's not much happier than this song, it makes me want to sing along as loud as possible. Besides, the next logical progression on the noise scale from VU and Sonic Youth is the Mary Chain.
Dig, if you will.
Side note: Every other song I have with the word "happy" in the title is sad, or angry, which just figures.
All right, enough from me. What's your favorite happy song? Please share, this is for a good cause:
