The Go is a garage rock band from Detroit, composed primarily of Robert "Bobby" Harlow (vocals), John Krautner (guitar, bass), Marc Fellis (drums), James McConnell (lead guitar), and a rotating cast of other band members, most notably, Jack White (later of the White Stripes), who was with the band from mid '98 - early '99. Here are the two tunes I recorded with Bobby Harlow from The GO in Detroit last weekend. Would love to hear your expert MOGGER feedback. The first tune "Gone(Fly Away)" is featured in the film "Descent," starring Rosario Dawson. It comes out in a few weeks. I wrote the second tune, "Not Bad Enough," for the same scene but it didn't make the cut. I love the vintage rock sounds he gets. Got their new record, "Howl on the Haunted Beat You Ride" on viny... The 'verse' riff of The Go's "Your Stoned Italian Cowboy" always makes me think of Frank Zappa's "Trouble Everyday" ... My wife wasn't too mad at me for wearing her jeans today, heh ... (I've since changed back to my own pants, thank you very much) ... I really need to find a copy of the Axiom Funk two-disc set, as well as the Third Rail CD ...
