The Tulsa, OK, funk band delivers a sweet urban funk set loaded with tantalizing stalk-tempo love allads. Centered around relationships -- the good and the bad times -- and featuring five different mixes of "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" (including a seven-minute-13-second Todd Terry remix), this collection is better than expected. Two interludes -- "Where's My Glasses" and "Here We Go" -- are incorporated in the 14 tracks, making it seem like you're getting more tracks for your bucks. Nevertheless, this is a first-rate CD and a humdinger for "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" fans; not so for those who feel the multiple remixes, along with two slices of "First Lover," are a bit repetitious. It's unique enough to purchase even if you have their greatest hits and some other CDs. And while there's nothing here to vault them back into the pop Top 40, this is a very satisfying CD. Charlie Wilson's strong vocals and the band's signature beats make every track interesting.
