Often described as being fey and wimpy, The Field Mice produced a certain beauty with sad lonely guitar led love songs. I loved them around 89 when I got a lot of their releases on vinyl and I was so pleased when this compilation came out with over 35 melancholy songs of mostly unrequited love.
