I haven't made a CD mix in a long while, but while rummaging through various mixes from the past the other day, I realized that pretty much all of my favorites were built around a theme that's reflected in the song titles. I also enjoyed coming up with titles for my mixes. What's the theme of your favorite CD mix? Or else your favorite title? Regarding titles, I was pretty happy with "Electric Heartache" and "Absolute Downers" (you'd never guess the themes of these one... MORE

Shattered was released this year which is a collection of alt mixes of songs off Guitar Romantic as well as some new songs we never got to hear.
This band keeps gaining in cult status and some of you may think the band's story outweighs their material but it's incredibly great hooky punky sugary (in the raw, not refined) goodness. Some have suggested they sound like The Clash meets The 'Mats.
I suggest you take a listen either way.

I hear there is an Exploding Hearts comp coming out soon, connecting the dots of the band's wonderful, short lived, and tragic career. I would have given anything to have seen them, and missed their Bottom Of The Hill show by inches (I was watching the Cuts at the Eagle that night, and just hung out).
