A wise man (probably) once said that your record store's friends are you friends also. I'm not exactly sure how this California band ended up being buxom buddy's with Manchester's best record store, but I do know they are one of the best bands I've heard in a long time. I've already played all the tracks on their myspace about a dozen times, and I only heard about them yesterday. Dig:

Okay, I realize we're closing in on mid-March and The Ettes played at the end of February, but I was busy driving around in a snowstorm for six hours last Thursday and I only just recovered, mentally. Oh, and I went on a drinking binge too. You know, the kind induced by skiing. It goes like: Wake up early, skiing, lunch, beer, skiing, bar, beer, dinner (liquid), scotch, bed. Repeat. So...
