The seven piece Swedish pop-rock band The Concretes are back with new material after the split with lead singer Victoria Bergsman. As I type, I'm sitting here listening to "On The Radio", the first track of The Concretes most recent album. Catchy piano keys ding along with Victoria Bergman's pure, angelic voice as she claims, "I must say it was love from the start, when you gave me a song to sing." Hearing this for the first time brought a smile to my face, and my nervousness about listening to an album that could leave me wondering why I spent my money evaporated. Yep, it's true, the Concrete, in addition to having their shit stolen, gotten sick and having to reschedule their tour, have now lost their front woman. Victoria apparently wants to persue her solo career from now on...but what does this mean for TheConcretes? Well, they have said that they want to remain a band and have even started writting new material...That's all fine and good, but who's going to sing?
