Blog post image preview Any moggers out there play Grand Theft Auto? I think this game has ruled my life for the last 4 days. You may be thinking, "wasn't there a four disc set with all the GTA radio station tracks already released?" This one is slightly different. This compilation is a creation of DJ Green Lantern and will contain eight all new tracks along with eight songs already included in the video game. "Liberty City Invasion: Music From And Inspired by Grand Theft Auto IV" will be avail... MORE

On August 5th the guys will release the long awaited Re-Up Gang album, which is a compilation featuring all the artists on their label. The Re-Up disc will feture nine new songs, and tons of material from Abliva and Sandman. Unlike previous comilations, this one is going to be released through traditional retail out... MORE

Blog post image preview A day in the life of SXSW shenanigans: 10 am, I woke up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and hopped over to meet up with Perry Farrell, who was going to met the legend (and key note speaker Lou Reed) and ask him some questions about his film Berlin. More details on that later (i.e. one sentence: we got it on film. gotta edit and then I'll show it to ya). PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU CLICK BELOW TO THE FULL POST YOU CAN SEE THE PHOTOS I TOOK! Lou Perry interviewing Lou He... MORE

Following up yesterday's news of 50 Cent giving away a mixtape of all new material on his website yesterday, The Clipse have done the exact same thing. "We Got It For Cheap Volume 3" popped up on The Clipse' official blog last night for our listening pleasure. Unlike 50 Cent, fans of the Clipse aren't required to sign up for anything in order to take their free copy.

Malice and Pusha-T are back with a different sound on "Fast Life". The song has just a pinch of westcoast funk in it which is different from the gritty/space-y stuff they usually get from The Neptunes. Their new untitled album will feature productin from Timbaland, Danjahandz, and The Hitmen. Be on the lookout for that. <div align="center"> </div>

The Clipse Want Off Jive At All Costs

Artist:
Album: Hell Hath No Fury [PA]
Track:
Other Tags: News, hip hop, Jive Records
The Clipse have been trying to get off of Jive Records for years, and things seemed to have improved in 2006 where the label and group came to an agreement (grudgingly). Their sophomore album was finally released and horribly marketed and mismanaged by Jive. The record company dropping the ball on "hell hath no fury" was the last straw, and The Clipse are reportedly pulling out all the stops to be released from their contract. If this happens it could set off a bidding w... MORE

...well then, this one is gonna hurt me, I'm so inclined to leave it all un-numbered because in all honestly I can't pin down so many of these to the numbers I'll end up with, and I'm sure during the making of this list which I'm about to type numbers will be switching and changing like it ain't nothing. Anyway I hope you find something you like, here it is: 10. Girl Talk - "The Night Ripper" 9. The Blow- "Paper Television" 8. J Dilla- "Donuts" 7. The Knife- "Silent Shou... MORE

Boldness, news-'n'-gossip-column style: Most Roots fans have probably not noticed that ?uestlove is posting a video blog every single day of their current world tour. Theyr'e kind of absurdly entertaining, even when they're not. http://www.okayplayer.com/questlove/Europe06/ Also, his Myspace blog: http://blog.myspace.com/questlove - there's a lot of back-reading to do there, if you're interested in the man ? as a personality and you've never seen this page. Crack-rap at its finest.

Artist:

Blog post image preview This, to me is better than anything I've ever heard from the clipse (This makes lord willin look like nursery rhymes). Maybe it's because I am from Virginia, I love the neptunes beats, or maybe I am a future coke dealer but this album, Donuts, Kingdom Come, and Food and Liquor are by far the illest hip hop albums I have heard all year (I am sure "Hip Hop Is Dead" by Nas will be just as good if not better though :-D). I must say everytime I hear The Clipse, they sound bette... MORE

I have a feeling this could be the album of the year. These kids are brilliant, and they wear funny clothing. Oh crack rap, what would I do without you?
