Today my pal Noah, a former Columbia Records executive who taught me a great deal about how a record company can be a positive force for artists and music (rare at CBS/SONY or any of the corporate labels for that matter), did a long follow-up piece on protest music at Down With Tyranny. No story about protest music would be complete without Complete Control, which was the theme song for an old San Francisco radio show I hosted.
