It's one of my favourite songs. I first heard it nearly 40 years on an 'album' by the Clancy Bros. & Tommy Makim. It's driving me nuts to see and hear so many different versions of the lyrics. apparently Domnic Behan wrote a verse, it's very nice but I would love to know the VERY ORIGINAL LYRICS to this lovely song.
