I don't really have a great deal of time for The Broken Family Band. They were a pleasure to photograph, but their alt. country / indie-rock didn't really sit too well for us. We'd heard beforehand that Jeff Mangum had personally allowed them to record and cover Neutral Milk Hotel's 'The King Of Carrot Flowers Part 2'.
