The Bluetones Debut Reissue Expecting To Fly March 9th
9 months ago

The Bluetones are back ladies and gentlemen and so of course a reissue is in order. The bands debut album Expecting To Fly released in 1995 propelled them into British history (knocking Oasis' (Whats The Story) Morning Glory off the top spot) and now, the record is getting a full on re-release along with a host of added extras (as is standard nowadays).

Fun night. I felt quite at home amongst the Britpop survivors that had turned out for the evening. The Bluetones seemed as though they had been encased in carbonite for the last 10 years, and were good value: Slight Return, Solomon Bites The Worm, If... Good stuff, indeed.

Yes, the debut by Hounslow's foremost contribution to Britpop has been remastered and given an extra radio sessions disc for its vital thirteenth anniversary.
