Parentheses by The Blow. As of right now this has to be my favorite song. But then again, Ten Thousand lines by Electric President is as well. Hmm, yes, you can't put either one in front of the other. Two completely different sounds. Parentheses being more on the pop/indie side and Ten Thousand Lines being more indie/electronic if anything i guess you could say.Enjoy :)

My friend Steph recently asked me for some new music suggestions. I sent her a few tunes that have been bouncing all over my iPod these days:TV On The Radio (f. David Bowie) - "Province" - Like all the best Bowie tunes, this one should force you to spontaneously nod your head along with it (and maybe get up and dance). Mos Def & Talib Kweli - "Astronomy (8th Light)" - True hip-hop from their old B

Okay, so I was in the Mogosphere and someone had posted a list of bands they discovered, and one of them was The Blow, described as "tasty back to basics electropop". So I'm like, "Hey - I saw a band called The Blow" open for "Architecture in Helsinki" here in San Diego a few months ago. It was an odd night - the venue was a teen center in the suburbs, next to the high school, it was all ages, ...

I've always had a soft spot for that Police song. Its at the core of this tune by The Blow. They've taken it to a more sultry place and it works. I freaking love it. It makes me want to throw a party with really mysterious lighting, vodka drinks in plastic Dixie cups, balloons, jelly beans and dots as appetizers, spin the bottle and Twister, and couples that invade eac...

The Blow (a.k.a. 1/2 of Y.A.C.H.T and Phil Evrum, a.k.a The Microphones, a.k.a. Mt. Eeerie's ex-girlfreind) are the sounds that have been "slappin'" out of my brand new headphones recently, an in all honesty it's ind of starting to annoy me. So to put it to rest I figured, why not share them with the ret of MOG so perhaps you too can play the same few songs about 30 times each day for a week (r...
