the bird and the bee are releasing a new EP just in time for Valentine's Day! It's titled One Too Many Hearts and it will be available on February 12th. The last track on the EP is a cover of "Tonight You Belong To Me" which you may remember from the 1979 movie The Jerk when Steve Martin sang it with Bernadette Peters. According to a press release:

I saw this (video embedded below) last night on TV and then immediately went and bought the albums. The Bird and the Bee make delightful, sinister, dark pop songs with a Tropicalia feel. I was delighted to find that the band is made up of half of Geggy Tah, and Inara George (daughter of the late founder of Little Feat). This past Saturday I found myself running to my local Rite Aid for a Dayquil/Nyquil pack( after 6 years in LA, I'm not used to winter anymore)while comparing drowsy and non drowsy formulas I heard the strangest song sandwiched between Vanessa Willams 'Save the Best for Last' and Natalie Cole's version of 'Merry Christmas Baby'.
