September 11: The Beatles, "Something" Across the Universe is released today, so I thought I’d take the time to talk about my favorite Beatles song that will not be featured in the movie, “Something.” Rights issues held up George Harrison songs from being included in the movie, which somewhat dampens my interest in the film. While I still hold John Lennon closest to my heart, I cannot argue against those who feel Harrison was the best Beatle, and frankly, McCartney’s lat... MORE
Okay moggers, time for a little Desert Island. The category is: Top 10 Albums. If you aren’t familiar with the game, it’s simple. If you were stuck on a desert island – perhaps for the rest of your life (!!!) - which 10 albums would you most like to have with you? List your all-time favorites. They don’t necessarily have to be the best albums - just the ones that you enjoy the most and/or the ones that have meant the most to you. These are albums that you can listen to... MORE
I've never been struck by a song before. I have had those moments where you're listening to a song and it's just amazing in that one point in time, but I've never been struck cold by one. Today was a depressing day. Taurus had a five day and everything for the most part went as such. It was a day of indecision, and uncomfortable epiphanies. My stomach was throbbing in its side from all of it, and my mind was caught in a spherical rut that I didn't even know was possible.... MORE
The snow is gone. The sun is warm. Spring is here at long last in lovely Lennoxvegas. Two weeks left of school! Most excellent. Then seven weeks of rest at home before camp starts and that means new music. Yay.
Plus, I'll be working during the school year, so I'll be able to afford going to concerts. Right on.
I am so pleased to see the sun. It makes all the music seem so much brighter.
I feel so depressed lately. Maybe it's because it's been raining non-stop or maybe it's in the stars? Maybe it's all the Jim Croce, I'm not sure, but I do know something doesn't feel right. Blegh.
I wish I could get paid to listen to music all day - and once the day was over, part of my job was to sit in a room with people (who get paid to do the same thing) and talk about what we heard that day. And everyone would be really great and nobody would be one of those elitis... MORE

Honestly, I need to stop getting bored and joining online communities. I have the whole myspace thing, and after that it was livejournal, then last fm, facebook, mycrib, and now MOG. It's sad, it really is. Well... I guess this is intended to blog about music, so what can I say. Lately I have been listenting to The Beatles Abbey Road over and over again, and also The Shin's new CD Wincing the Night Away :-) I love it all. Okay, now back to studying for finals.
Rediscovering Abbey Road, and finding this to be one of my favorite Beatles songs. Partly prompted by reading the autobiography of Geoff Emerick, the Beatles longtime engineer...this is their furthest delving into classic 60's British blues-rock, and it's just the sleaziest song they've ever recorded. McCartney is outdoing himself on the bass, Lennon is singing his heart out, and then that coda! Lennon just started playing white noise out of his Moog, louder and louder;... MORE
