In this post you missed, because you thought it was about Phish, which it wasn't (they were more of a tertiary character within the grand scheme of the post), I opened it up a bit about the importance of the jam in my life.

Time to celebrate the summer that's finally arrived!
If Carl Wilson has the voice of an angel, what does a heavenly choir sound like?
In 1967 in Hawaii, group rehearsals for a Beach Boys TV show were taped (though I’ve read disagreements from collectors and trufans over the exact circumstances of these recordings). Here’s a virtually acapella version of “God Only Knows”.

school is almost out!!! yippee! the kids asked me when we will celebrate summer birthdays. then they asked me what we will do for summer birthdays and as a joke i said we will have a dance-off and they got SOOOOOOOOOO excited. kind of scary. well let's see if they can put on a real dance-off in the spirit of dance 360! don't know how this one escaped me for so long. pets are on the brain as of late as many moggers have been having pet issues this past year. plus i read a brian wilson biography on the beach in mexico...strange trip that guy has been on... pet sounds is a truly groundbreaking album for it's time and a great example of brian wilson's collaberative spirit, and his use of the studio as instrument. i have a vocal only mix of this record as well as the original. it is...
