All Music GuideThis is a reissue of an album originally released in May 1970 in the U.K. only (as Capitol ST 21715) presenting a live performance by the Beach Boys at Finsbury Park, Astoria, London, on December 1, 1968. It's a reasonable enough portrait of late-'60s Beach Boys live work (the harmonies are wonderful) and an enormous improvement over the 1964 Beach Boys Concert album. At the time of this discount-priced reissue, the album had recently been released for the first time in the U.S. under the title Beach Boys '69.
