Visiting the parental units this weekend.. Which is going to be intresting, because I know they don't like the facial hair (which I've recently regrown since xmas) reluctant to shave it off, took me a whole week to get it back, and by the time it's the weekend it should be back to its origional glory. p.s. by the Bar-Kays was far less successful than Isaac Hayes' original - it peaked at #53 on the pop chart and #10 on the R & B chart.

Yeah I'm posting some funk on a Sunday....deal with it. This song always reminds me of that Aykroyd/Chase movie _Spies Like Us_, when, just before the daffy duo comes upon the hidden Russian missile launch site in remote Siberia or somewheres, they hear the faint sounds of the Bar-Kays coming from, what they don't know yet to be, the guards radio. SOUL FINGAH! I was listening to my local college radio station tonight in the car and they were playing some righteous funky grooves tonight. I had to share. This is a very good station...they are worth streaming for those of you out of range. (am v sad that I can't find a viddie for this one!)
