Setting Sun .How many times has Brian Wilson been credited or blamed (depending on which way you look at it) for the sound of a record? Here we go again with The Aliens debut; Astronomy For Dogs.The album begins, like all of their live shows, with the Doors sounding "Setting Sun", which sets the tone for the album's upbeat and ‘happy’ first half, moving through "Robot Man", "Tomorrow" and "Rox", sounding very much like early Beta Band or outtakes from Primal Scream... “The Aliens are sorry to announce the postponement of all tour dates due to an unfortunate episode involving lead singer Gordon Anderson. Hot on the heels of Robin injuring his back last week, on Saturday afternoon Gordon fell and broke his clavicle (scan pictured!) whilst climbing a tree with John. As a result the band will be unable to play any of the scheduled dates this month.”

here is a link to a nice screensaver our record company made for us. Not available yet for mac, but looks nice on a pc- it runs using the pc clock and changes night and day. Slightly better than their usual promo items (like the coldplay rubix cube...!)

The Aliens are a three piece suit from Fife. Their already legendary EP, Alienoid Starmonica graced many turntables way back in 2006. Where are they now? Well, their debut album Astronomy for Dogs will be made available in March 2007...

This is out today as a download and out in the shops next week. I think it is UK i-tunes only but not sure, will let you know when the US album release is, cheers, John
