I imagine that this film was Michel Gondry's idea of a vacation after making 'Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind' and 'The Science Of Sleep' back to back. And though the fair was lighter and the volume on the eye candy was turned down, the movie still has a ton of heart.
