Yup, fellow mogger Vroomster and I attended an private show thrown by the makers of Rock Band that featured a "very special guest" as it said on the ticket. There were rumors of The Who playing but I didn't think that was possible. First I thought it would be someone playing a Who song on Rock Band. Then I thought maybe they will do a couple tunes. But after the first few tunes I knew this was going to go the distance. It was 2 1/2 hours of great Who songs. Lots of their... MORE
I stopped over at Hype Machine and checked out the most popular tunes currently circulating the blog-o-sphere...and it was not time well spent. It's one thing to have a thousand remixes of the... MORE

9:23 PM (PST) I'm watching The Who Rock Honors on VH1 now; it's about 20 minutes in and Incubus just covered "I Can See For Miles" and "I Can't Explain". Now I understand the whole premise of this concert and whatever, but there are definietly certain bands that shouldn't cover certain other bands. Incubus is one of them. to start, brandon boyd's vocals are already sub par, but jose antonio could barely keep up on drums with the rest of the band...oh well there's st... MORE
