The White Stripes don't have an official live album, which is both unfortunate and understandable - how do you sell a live album of just two people? Maybe one day when Jack White is recoving from a heart attack after a Raconteurs concerts (bound to happen some day) and he needs some dough for the hospital bill. Anyways, I am a sucker for a performer displaying himself naked on stage with his heart on the line and this clip is no different. The sincerity and astute atten... MORE
......Music with a sense of......awareness of it's own history. Give The White Stripes Another Listen. Jack White has consistantly exhibited an uncanny ability to plumb the depths of rock's roots in an amazing array of styles. The "band's" progression and development has been impressive as they find pathways to Rock, Pop, Blues, roots within their signiture sound.
In 2006 he told the Associated Press that he had to leave Detroit because he "couldn't take the negativity anymore." Earlier this year he further charged in a told Rolling Stone Raconteurs feature that "I couldn't... MORE
Europeans adopt the White Stripes "Seven Nation Army" as the unofficial anthem of the 2008 Euro Cup games. It all started with drunken Italians changing the lyrics to "Campioni del mondo" -- champions of the world... I have to say the new electro remix is pretty good. (the official Euro Cup song is Enrique Iglesias- "Can You Hear Me?" (like wtf))

Its almost been a year since I left MOG, found myself a working mans job and felt I had to focus all my attention to the students in my room. I left MOG unemployed, and am coming back a fourth grade teacher. As the end of the school year is approaching I know I am going to have to have something to fill my time. While I was teaching I spent the majority of my nights journaling, something I had not done in quite sometime. Now with the end of school just two days away, I am ... MORE
My Mog-friend Meghan and I made a little drive to the big city, Nashville, yesterday to run a few errands, do some "Goodwill hunting", and pig out at Noshville downtown. I like to be the ipod-DJ if I am riding bitch (quite the lucrative position) and thought that our arrival required a White Stripes soundtrack. I had no idea that Jack White and his wife lived in middle Tennessee. "Why would someone DO that?" was my first thought. Then I remembered that he also kicked of th... MORE
Good Monday morning fellow Moggers!
I will make this short and sweet!
Here I was signing in and saw I hit my year anniversary. So this being said, you guys rock and thanks for broadening my horizons in the world of music!
Cheers my friends!
Henry and Liv (my kids) and I were rocking out tonight while Mom got some work done. Livvy shook her butt, and offered these deadpan reviews of some of the songs:
Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground by the White Stripes -- "Sounds like a remote control plane by itself."
Idioteque by Radiohead-- "Sounds like aliens."
Blue Orchid bu the White Stripes -- "Sounds like a race car."
She's a pretty spot on critic, huh?
