Here's one of the funniest concert rider's since Van Halen requested no green M& M's in their dressing room - The Stooges concert rider for their current tour:
I personally love the tone of the whole thing, kind of has a "trust us" we know what were doing" feel to it.

In one of the strangest covers I've ever seen in my life, The Stooges covered Madonna's 1998 hit "Ray of Light" at the Rock Hall ceremonies. True, Iggy Pop and Madonna are both Michigan natives. And true, Stooges bassist Mike Watt has done session work with Kelly Clarkson, so it's not like there's no precedent. But that doesn't discount the weirdness (pun absolutely intended) of this video: Throughout it all, I found myself looking for a surprise cameo by the Son... MORE

The group - original members Iggy Pop, guitarist Ron Ashton, drummer Scott Ashton with ex-Minutemen bassist Mike Watt were the highlight of the SXSW music conference, which took place in Austin, Texas last week. Leave it to the reformed proto-punk rockers, The Stooges (with Mogger Mike Watt on bass), to deliver a set at SXSW last night (Sat., March 17), that MTV News reporter Gil Kaufman described as the "true apocalypse." Kaufman wrote: "The true apocalypse, though, came a short time later with a set that was the perfect capper to a chaotic five-day journey. To say that reunited Detroit punk godfathers the Stooges blew the roof off Stubb's would be an understatement (and not on... MORE
I saw the the Stooges at the Congress Theater in Chicago Sunday night, and it was hands down one of the best concerts I have ever seen. No matter how enthusiastic the crowd was, they were no match for Iggy Pop's enthusiasm, which would have been remarkable for anyone, let alone an AARP member. What's even more surprising is that no song felt out of place. I expected as much from the selections from The Stooges and Fun House, but what was more remarkable to me was that the ... MORE
