I wanted to squeeze this in before midnight here, since it fits, but also because it's a great song. This was another video that got a lot of play in my early days of watching MTV. So much, in fact, that I lost the love for the song for a while, and had to leave it alone and revisit it later. MTV was unfortunately quite good at that back then; see dachmo's post on The Tubes for my take on "She's A Beauty". Having given this song some space, I see why I was so a... MORE
In the Deadwood days of p2p it was really surprising what oddities you could find. Like this choice cut from the Psychedelic Furs, recorded for the King Biscuit Flour Hour. In my continuing quest to right the wrongs of unposted & neglected musicians/groups I discovered last night there were no posts for the Furs!! WTF? I know I've seen at least one post but maybe it was just a vid someone posted in the comments of someone else's post. So it got buried. Oh well. I'm rectifying this now damnit! My fav Furs song off "Book Of Days"('89). Wiki sez: "The Psychedelic Furs came together in England's emerging punk scene in 1977, where they were in... MORE
