I've posted some Terry Reid awhile back. This is the guy who declined to join what became Led Zep, and wound up introducing them to each other. Made some really cool soul influenced albums through the late 60's / early 70's. In the 80's, he came back with a great set titled "The Driver". A great disc of contemplative Americana, featuring Terry's distictive vocals. Here he is with Michael Scott's "The Whole of the Moon.
I've bitten off more than I can chew here. But, I'll try to keep up. Terry Reid is a British soul singer who always seemed to struggle with his place in the music pantheon. He was actually originally offered the lead vocalist job in what was to be Led Zeppelin, but turned it down due to touring conflicts! But, he turned around and introduced Plant and Bonham to Page and Jones - seeing it as a perfect fit. A bold young man who interpolated his own original "Friends" smack... MORE
I was moving around furniture in my "office" and I seemed to have fucked up my external hard drive in the process. iTunes allows you upload purchased music from your iPod to computer, but nothing else. Had to download some freeware to do what was left. Still, I didn't have even close to everything on the iPod, so I've got to get ripping and also start searching for music I may have purchased elsewhere (emusic, etc.) More than my music, all my pictures seem to be toast...
