All Music GuideOne of the hardest things to understand about Legend is why Goldsmith's score was completely replaced by the electronic twitterings of Tangerine Dream for the U.S. release. Goldsmith's music is a delicate tapestry intended to weave in and around the action of the film. This is some of the best music Goldsmith has ever composed, performed with loving grace, and it served the film well everywhere in the world but America.
