All Music GuideOn their first EP, this Parisian band delivers six short songs mixing in rough alt-drums, fey Belle and Sebastian-esque vocals, and wink-and-nod humor. "I get so sad/when I take my guitar /and write crap songs" Xavier Boyer sings in "Pop Stars' Club," hinting at the humor in most of these lyrics. The production is rather dry and unsurprising, though the little segues between cues are cute. And yes, the CD does actually last 20 minutes, even though it's padded out with silence and some synthesizer noodlings at the end.
