Jump Tomorrow

(107)
Blog post image preview Back in the summer of 2001 a little movie hit the theaters called Jump Tomorrow . It was about a shy guy who is about to be married off in an arranged marriage, except he doesn't love his soon to be wife he loves another girl from his office, and she doesn't know it. The main character, George, is played by Tunde Adebimpe. If that sounds familiar to you it's because Tunde is now the lead singer for TV On The Radio. If you're into independent/quirky cinema then I suggest ... MORE

Blog post image preview Here is a fun song from the TV on The Radio ep, Young Liars. It is called Satellite. I never paid much attention to this ep much until just recently. This is one of those "IPOD on random - what the heck was that?" songs. This is a fun ep worth owning. It is grounded with one of the more easy to latch onto songs from "Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes" called "Staring at the Sun." Another song that is full of layers of sound is the the title track, "Young Liars". They al... MORE

Awesome band. I understand not everyone "gets" them, but if you haven't taken a listen, you should. You might just be amazed or at least a smidge smitten.GO! GO! GO! see this band live if you have the chance.
This video is pretty cool. Live "Young Liars". Takes a minute to get movin' but it's of fairly decent quality. Bit o' backstage shooting of "The Wrong Way" at the end too.
Here's a totally rad interview w/ Tunde Adebimpe, from some festival somewhere. H... MORE

This band has a unique thing going on. You won't hear them on the radio here in the states. But, they have a few very cool songs. Definetly good for a smoke and a toke. They have a song called "robots" that's totally cool. you may be able to listen to it from my page. I don't really know how that works. Everytime I try to listen to someone else's songs on here Winamp opens and nothing happens.
