T.I. sat down with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and gave a great interview regarding the last six months of his life. Much of it focused on what changes he's had to make, and how things need to be different in the future.
He plans to release a new single within the next two weeks, as well as record new music with Amy Winehouse. He says he's not sure if the song will end up on her album or his, but it should be good stuff. You can read the entire interview HERE

An intensely violent song titled "Hunt Em Down" by T.I. leaked to the internet a few days ago, shortly after he signed a plea bargain with federal prosecutors. The new leaked song seemed odd, considering part of T.I.'s plea deal was to speak to young children about making good decisions in life. T.I. has released an audio statement (that you can listen to below) saying the song is 2 years old and wasn't meant for public consumption. The track was created shortly after th... MORE

This article by Public Broadcasting Atlanta raises a question that many folks in the hip hop community have been whispering in the last few days. How in the hell did T.I. (who has been convicted of several felonies in the past), manage to only get 1 year in jail? When you consider the fact that he was caught purchasing heavy artillery from a federal agent, their case against him appeared rather strong.
Money and celebrity can't be the only reason he got off so lightly. M... MORE

I have no idea how much T.I. paid his lawyers, but I can guarantee they didn't get enough money. The Associated Press is saying he'll only serve 12 months in prison, after being caught with enough guns to overthrow several African countries. Not only was he forbidden to carry weapons as a convicted felon, but at the time of his arrest he had a new single out taunting the police.
I'm surprised nobody in the mainstream media caught on to that little tidbit ... MORE

T.I. will step foot outside his home for the first time in almost five months on Easter Sunday. He's been under house arrest since early October awaiting trial on weapons charges, and a federal magistrate judge has allowed him to attend Easter services. This move is slightly surprising considering the fact that T.I. was not allowed to invite family into his home on Thanksgiving. The rapper must be flanked by a court approved monitor and his lawyer while he's outside the home.... MORE

Earlier this week, a very promising update in the homicide of T.I.'s personal assistant and best friend Philant Johnson. Several websites reported that there were now two suspects who were being persued by authorities. Atlanta radio station V103 claimed to have sources who knew details behind the shooting.
"During "The Ryan Cameron Show," the radio host reported that the motive for the shooting may be over a promoter mistakenly thinking he had T.I. booked for an afte... MORE

In an interview with MTV news, T.I. revealed that he's recorded over 50 songs for his new album Paper Trail. He's eager to release the album but isn't quite sure when it will be released due to his house arrest. He's been locked inside his home with a court appointed nanny since mid-October. On the bright side, fans can be thankful he's had all this idle time to sit down and create another album so fast, his last LP was released in July.
"It's a lot of bullsh-- out rig... MORE

U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman has postponed an extremely important hearing in T.I.'s federal weapons case. The hearing will challenge the search of T.I.'s vehicle on the day of the arrest, and will render a large chunk of the government's case null and void if successful. It was originally scheduled to take place Janunary 3rd, but has been pushed back until February 19th.
T.I. has been on house arrest since mid October when he was nabbed for allegedly try... MORE

T.I. is about two months into his house arrest confinement while awaiting trial on weapons charges, and took time out to release another video to fans. He reports that he's about 30% done with his new album Paper Trail, and also updates us on other Grand Hustle projects. Young Dro & Big Kuntry also have follow up projects near completion and should see shelves relatively soon.

Outside from the video response he posted online to let fans know how he was doing last month, T.I. has been fairly silent sine he began house arrest. The self proclaimed King of The South sat down with Rap-Up magazine and spoke about the support he's been getting from people in the industry. According to T.I., Suge Knight of all people tries to urge him to cool down and stay out of trouble. Yeah thats right, the man accused of hanging Vanilla Ice upside down from a balcony.\... MORE
