What we're talking about here is the electronica made for the clubs.
Do you hold this stuff to a lower standard? I do. The album doesn't have to be unique or challenging. The "musicians" don't need to be particularly skilled. And the lyrics - if there are any - really don't have to be worth shit. The result is that I end up with a lot of average albums that don't hold up over time.
