Now that cornucopia has again spileth over, this time in the exclusive first listen of Sunset Rubdown's new album Dragonslayer, which you can stream all week free courtesy of N...

Dragonslayer has leaked. The band offered fans to pre-order the album, and receive the mp3’s on May 21st, which resulted in it leaking. I pre-ordered it on vinyl, so I don’t feel bad saying that I’ve listened to it over and over. The album is fantastic, Spencer Krug is god’s child. They’re going on tour, [...]

Spencer Krug remains one of the most prolific of rockstars, following the Wolf Parade and Frog Eyes family tradition of joining enough bands that you can release multiple albums per year while somehow keeping the quality level respectably high for almost everything you do. While not everyone loved this year's Swan Lake release, Krug's work stood out as the brightest of the three musicians ( the...

He founded the band. He’s a dynamic presence on every track. [...]

Is easily the best album I've heard all year...easily. It's packed full of long, mesmerizing, chill enducing, and beautiful Spencer Krug creations. Maybe I'll get tired of it after obsessing about it, but god damn is this album epic! Sorry Feist, sorry LCD Soundsystem, you've got some stiff competition!Sunset Rubdown-Random Spirit Lover: full album review sometime before next friday, promise. M...

So, it is not much of a secret that I have a man crush on the talent of Spencer Krug (were it a secret, it is no more). Soon to be Dragonslayers, Sunset Rubdown will be heading off on tour with other creatures of legend Elfin Saddle and Witchies. According to the band's label, Jagjaguwar, the tour finds them in unlikely dragon haunts, but chances are people who enjoy their music might well live...
