This break through album included many mouth watering originals such as Badfish, Ebin, Date Rape and, of course, 40 oz to freedom. But this classic addition to your collection also contains many a cover song and here are some links to bands you may know or maybe an intro to bands you should know! So check ‘em out kiddies and expand those horizons. Smoke 2 Joints: originally written by Chris Kay and Michael Kay of the band The Toyes and released in 1983 www.thetoyes.... MORE
Ahhh, the 70's. Saturday morning cartoons were never missed. Faithfully watched Scooby, Spiderman, Merry Melodies (i.e. Bugs and crew, and so many more.
In 1995 a disc was released titled "Saturday Morning Cartoons' Greatest Hits". So many great tracks. Here is a cool version of Hong Kong Phooey, done by Sublime,in their own unique ska-punk style.
Everyone loves Sublime.

I'll try to put those up later.
Hmm, just noticed that the last post I did was made on April 29... so obviously I had to immediately play the song of the same name by Sublime. In fact I recently bought the Everything Under The Sun box set, and I have to say that it was worth every cent. For a band with such limited output, the idea of listening to their weird studio outtakes and the like creates a very personal kind of relationship with the band. Yeah, there's some pretty weird stuff, but also a bunch of... MORE
It looks great outside. This'll be my 2nd trip longboarding to work this week, hopefully this time I won't run out of breath from taking the winter off from working out.
Just for that, I've gotten some longboard cruising music.
First and foremost!!! Sublime interview (w/eric, bud, and BRAD): This morning is the first time i have ever seen this sublime interview. "smoke everything in sight!" I have a deep appreciation and connection with sublime. They are tight. I struggled with some problems and listening to sublime, knowing bradly's history and struggle with drugs (as well as fruciante, and kiedis') allow me to REALLY relate to EVERY piece of music they produce. Here is a tribute to... MORE

WOW! I haven't mogged in ages. been so busy with school and my ridiculous 3 jobs. anyway, i got the chance to get away from it all a few days ago when i went to see badfish, a sublime tribute band, at revolution in downtown fort lauderdale. it was a great show. they really sounded a lot like sublime and it was so much fun. i might have been having extra fun since it was the first show i've been to in ages and pretty much everybody in the audience was high, but that's b... Badfish was fucking amazing. We got there just as the 2nd opening act was finishing up, which is not something I normally do (I like to get my money's worth, dammit), but we decided our time would be better spent getting some chemicals into our bodies before the show, so I guess we got there around 10PM. Once again, it was a super-late show at the Norva, and we didn't get out until around 1AM. But GOD, was it fucking good.First of all, they're a Sublime cover band, so t... MORE
So I just discovered a new band. Sublime. Good band, good band.
The lead dude died of a heroin overdose, so that's why the band stopped.
Just thought everyone else would want to know.
Anybody have any comments about Sublime? Any good songs to reccomend? I just have their Gold album, some music industry greatest hits type thing. What's a good thing of theirs to get?
