So I reviewed this fantastic dance performance at the Walker in Minneapolis. Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker's choreography and Steve Reich's music. Any Steve Reich fans out there? Well here you go.
This was released in 2006. It is Steve Reich remixed by the likes of: Four Tet, Alex Smoke...even includes "Come Out," in its entirety and NOT REMIXED. I like this enough that it's either going to be on my "The Shit" list or maybe it'll go somewhere else, like on my turntable. C'mon, we live in an epoch of mashups, sound collages, and hyper-sampling...no reason a remix album can't make it on...
