Not only am I a metalhead, but I am a total movie junkie. I love 'em. I've seen a lot of movies, and I've seen a lot of metal. So I figured, why not combine the two and pick out my five favorite movies about metalheads. Please note, I chose to leave out documentaries and [...]
SPINAL TAP released a new album last week, their first in nearly 20 years, appropriately titled Back From The Dead which had six reworkings of classics as well as six new songs and the sucker sold like hotcakes. Ten Thousand CDs in the first week! That's a pretty great accomplishment for a band that doesn't [...]

The first single shares the same name as the album and you can stream it now at Billboard.com. We’re glad to see a number of Tap classics [...]by Scott Bernstein Leave A Comment
Can you believe it's been 25 years since the spoof metal trio of Spinal Tap hit the big screen? In that time Rob Reiner's mockumentary has become, in my opinion, one of the three funniest movies of all time (alongside The Princess Bride and Spaceballs). In honour of the anniversary the "band" is releasing a 2-CD package titled Back From The Dead. The album, out June 16th, will be accompanied by
Great times the other night at the Beacon for my third Spinal Tap show since '91!This tour is a bit different as they are doing it without playing dress up. Kind of like KISS but much cooler.Pictured above is the famous aiport security scene with Derek Smalls' artificially enhanced member. At the show, Harry Shearer shared that it was actually a zucchini. And I here I was thinking cucumber all ...
My top 10 movie List is not much different than my Ultimate stoner/drug movie list. Which hasn't changed much since Highschool except for a couple new addtions. Hiting #10 is Spinal Tap the Rocumentary and at the top is Repo Man. You can only imagine what's in-between. What are your 10 ten drug slash music movies? Dude where is my car gets honorable mention. So think hard.
A classic track from a totally underrated band. They gave us so many great songs, from Big Bottom to Sex Farm to Tonight, I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight. I still love listening to their album Shark Sandwich too (even though it got terrible reviews). It was way ahead of its time. Anyhoo, All hail the Tap!!

Brian Jones poses with his Red Ryder air rifle outside the renovated home which was used in the classic movie 'A Christmas Story' in Cleveland, Monday, Nov. 13, 2006. A devotee of the film, Jones started a business which sold the leg lamp made famous in the film. He later bought the Cleveland house and plans to open it as a museum of the film on Nov. 25th. If you have not seen the movie, "This Is Spinal Tap", well then you just ain't living. This Is Spinal Tap is a 1984 mockumentary directed by Rob Reiner and starring members of the semi-fictional heavy-metal glam rock band Spinal Tap. This film is number 64 on Bravo's "100 Funniest Movies", and number 29 on AFI's 100 Years... 100 Laughs.Fast forward to Sunday, and USA Today reported today that S...
Spinal Tap is one of those movies like Bull Durham, Caddyshack, Major League, Scarface, and few others that if I'm channel surfing, I end up watching for the umpteenth time. I don't know why these are all 80s movies . . . ? The joke is still funny all these years later.
I have debated posting a thought on this topic for quite some time. It was because of last night I decided to do so. Let me start by saying I am a Guitar Hero junkie. I have always wanted to front a band, but no musical skills and a terrible singing voice have left me to only rock out at concerts and in my car. Then came Guitar Hero, and I can only imagine what it must be like to play a ...
