The 1955-56 period found Rollins quickly becoming one of the most important and influential young saxophonists in jazz. Among the highlights of this two-fer are his transformations of such unlikely songs as "There's No Business like Show Business," "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" and "Sonny Boy" into jazz, his exciting battle with John Coltrane on "Tenor Madness" and Rollins's originals "B. Swift" and "B. Quick." All of this classic music has since been reissued on the seven-CD box set The Complete Prestige Recordings of Sonny Rollins.
